I dont know why it bothers me so much when he plays video games. I know hes entitled to his hobbies and his way to relax and have fun but its annoying haha. I think because he cant play them and pay attention to anything else. _________________ Stay at home mama to Carlos Cash (2) and Lorelei Lea (6 months) |

yeah ours is on the main tv too and so I cant seem to watch TV anymore so I have a tone of shows on the DVR that I cant watch because he is playing games. _________________ Sarah

DH turned me into a gamer myself so I can't relate Now we just argue whose turn it is to play!
But this made me think of this song:

my husband is always playing games, and its on the main tv which is the only one that is set up right now. it drives me nuts cuz he plays for hours (or tries to) or he's on his phone playing games on there. what really drives me nuts is when he uses the computer to look up cheats or something so i'm basically stuck with nothing to do _________________ wife to Jonathan Robert (JR) and mother to baby boy Aiden

The only game console I would consent to having was the Wii. It can still get frustrating, but at least it's a little more energetic. _________________ //Cayla//

The only time my DH plays video games is when he's deployed or when he gets together with friends. _________________ ~Arrie~

My husband irritates the crap out of me with the video games. He only plays Call of Duty online but it caused quite a strife when he first got home from deployment. We only had a landline connection to the internet so not only would he take the main tv with the dvr but he'd also take the internet, so I'd be left with nothing to do but sit there and think evil thoughts at him!
Finally after 4 or 5 months of heated bickering, we sprang for an extra dvr and wireless internet so if he's playing his stupid game, I can entertain myself somehow. It's really worked out surprisingly well. _________________ ~Leslie

Same here. He only plays during deployments unless we are playing a family thing on the Wii. _________________ ~Heather

It doesn't bother me anymore. I'll just go watch our TV or find something else to do. It used to bother me until I had someone point out that he's AT home. If his hobby is video games, he can have his outlet! He mostly plays football and I've tried to play but I always forget what buttons to push! We play other video games together as a family. _________________ One month to our 1st Birthday Bash! September 5th @ Billy Dunlop Park! Be sure to RSVP!

You have to start TAKING time, girl! Take the kids in the room with him and say "I'll be back". Even if you have nowhere to go, tell him to pretend like you're not there and go shut the bedroom door! And don't feel bad for leaving him with the kids!
